Fortune Cookie

Yesterday, I ate a fortune cookie, and I found it so touching, I just had to put it up on my refridgerator.
It said:
"A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not why ships are built."
Reflect on it.

The Mystery Fishes

Below, there is a little pond with exactly 10 fishes.
However, if you count them carefully, you might be one of the many to say that there are only 9 fishes.
To that, I will say to look again with a careful eye to spot the remaining 2 fishes.
Where are the mystery fishes? Are you looking thorough enough?
Describe them.

Renewal

Time can change everything, including strong bonds.
Over time, friendships and love changes, but you cannot let that stop you from continuing them and renewing them.
There is a different feeling of joy when a long lost friend is finally sought out and you are friends again and you meet them. A surge of recollections and memories come forth.
Think of a friend you are losing or is lost. They do not have to be named.
Think of how they are, or were lost.
Now, think of how you can bring them back again.
This is the first step in renewal of your friendships.

"Loneliness and the feeling of being unwanted is the most terrible poverty." -Mother Teresa

Guilt

I recently bought a whole book of all of Edgar Allan Poe's works and read "The Tell-Tale Heart." It was great!

The theme of this book was guilt.

What kind of affect does guilt have on you? How do you react to your guilt?

Why is guilt so dangerous? Can it be worse than a punishment from someone else?
