Why do people treat other people the way they were treated?

Research has shown that people treat others (mostly people who are inferior to them) usually the way they were or are treated. For example, if people were bullied in the past or are being currently bullied, they have more tendency to bully others. Give other examples of people treating others the way they were treated, and answer and explain what you think of why people treat others they way they were treated.

  1. They probably just want to vent their anger out on others, and think, if that person did that to me, why not pass it on?

On the news, though, I do not think this woman was treated badly by her bulldog, but she started beating it with the snow shovel! the poor dog was sleeping! what the heck!

  2. JUST PATHETIC!!!! That woman was bullying her dog, and just probably blamed it as the dog's fault!!!! The dog probably looks fierce, so it sort of backs her up!

  3. I think that people most likely bully other people because they, like connyr said, dont know that that's not the way to treat others. so ya.

  4. I do not think that is it. If people are educated, I think they will know what is being nice and plain bullying; they should be smart enough to figure out the difference. I mean, all day at school, they talk about kindness words like "Tolerance" or something and they keep saying how bullying is wrong. People should know thatif they are bullies, that is not the way to treat others. I think people bully because then they have somebody to finally lash out to, and lashing out at someone is bullying.
